Hello school family!

This Saturday, November 12th, singer Masaki Nakagawa will be visiting our school. KBLS students will receive a ticket to the Latvian Veterans Day concert, gaining them free admission to the concert later that evening (6pm)at the Estonian House where Mr. Nakagawa will be performing several well-known Latvian songs. Tickets will be passed out at school.

Ligzda ir sincerely inviting all to help finish kitchen remodeling jobs this Saturday during the school day. Please consider donating to the GoFundMe fundraiser set up to help finance the remainder of this project. All donations, however large or small, will be a huge help. The students and teachers cannot wait to start using this bright, cheery new space!

Please remember that we will have a late start on November 19th. The school day will begin an hour later, 10am, and all students are expected to wear their school uniforms. The school board will be providing a pizza lunch to the students. Please bring water bottles and a nut-free snack from home. The Latvian Independence Day show will begin at 2pm. Once we know, when the kids will be performing, we will let you know. After the performance, students from the 4th grade down will be with their parents. Students from the 5th grade up will stay for the performance .

Save the date!

KBLS will be celebrating the holiday season on December 17th with a student run Elves’ Bakery. More details to come soon!

See you soon!

Yours,

Krišjānis Barons
